FLIGHT SCHOOL

Royal Karina is an FAA-recognized Title 14 CFR Part 61 Flight School.

Being family owned and operated enables Royal Karina to be flexible and reliable, offering competitive prices, convenient scheduling and individual attention. The school offers a one-on-one training environment for students seeking to learn to fly recreationally or professionally.

Instructors at Royal Karina are seasoned professionals with tens of thousands of flight hours who are not instructing simply to build hours and move on to the airlines, as is too often the case at many flight schools. Their commitment is strictly to flight training.

We pride ourselves on working around your schedule. We offer early morning lessons and evening lessons for the non-traditional student, as well as customized finish up programs for transfer students - whatever works best with your schedule.

Attractive financing options are also available.

Our training includes:
  • Sport Pilot
  • Private Pilot
  • Commercial Pilot
  • Certified Flight Instructor
  • Instrument Rating
  • Complex Endorsement
  • High Performance Endorsement
  • Flight Reviews
  • Instrument Proficiency Checks
  • Ground School

In addition to our airplanes, Royal Karina operates an FAA-approved FRASCA 141 full cockpit simulator.

Using the latest flight training device technology, the simulator can be configured to mimic numerous aircraft to provide students with a consistent training environment and familiar aircraft performance outside of the airplane.

The simulator is a benefit to both primary and advanced students when aircraft are unavailable or when weather is not conducive for actual flight.

The simulator contains a database of all instrument approach procedures in the United States and is equipped with full IFR instrumentation and navigation equipment. Up to 20 hours of instrument time may be logged in an approved flight simulator device toward your instrument rating. The simulator also is used to maintain instrument currency.

During bad weather, the simulator is an ideal training platform for primary students who otherwise would be unable to have a flight lesson in an airplane.

All of our aircraft feature similar equipment and instrumentation to maintain a consistent training environment inside and outside of the classroom.

Plus, we have comfortable facilities for conducting ground school and for use by students who want to review from our audio/video library. We also have computer terminals equipped with exam preparation software and for flight planning using our access to DUATS.
